Everyday Minerals Eyeshadow Swatches

Today I wanted to show you the swatches of the eight travel size eyeshadows that I received as GWP in a couple of my orders from Everyday Minerals. I will have to say that I am not a fan of the rollerball for mineral eyeshadows. It does not provide enough control for where you want to apply the shadow. I did find out through trial and error that mineral shadows MUST be used with a primer. I found that using Art Girl and Wish You Were Here with out primer meant that the color would soon get washed out or faded looking while blending with other colors. The shimmer would also disappear quite quickly when a brush was used on top of the shadow. I can honestly say that I will probably pass on buying full sizes of these shadows once I run out, but I highly doubt that I will use these up for a while.

Everyday Minerals Haul Part 2

Everyday Minerals Haul Part 2

So my husband is unaware that I ordered more makeup but I think after today I am on a no buy for makeup. I really couldn't pass up the free eyeshadow promo and placed a second order (the promo only lasted for 3 days.) This time I ordered a few things that have been catching my eye.

Everyday Minerals Haul Part 1

Everyday Minerals Haul #1
I finally broke down and ordered some full size product from Everyday Minerals and I couldn't have chosen a better time. They were running a promo where if you spent $21 you got 4 free travel eyeshadows, I loved my package so much that I placed another order with them and got 4 more shadows. I do have to make a note that I received my order the next day (jumps up and down) partly due to the fact that they are an Austin, TX based company and I live in San Antonio, TX.

Skin Care Challenge Day 28

So it has almost been a month since I started this little endeavor of mine and things are not looking too good. So I had to stop using my toner because my face seemed to be getting even more sensitive and it felt like it was burning more than it should. Also my husband came home last weekend and he started getting a rash of some sort on his face and we don't know how or where he got it. Now I have a rash on my face but I don't know if I got it from him or if I am having a reaction to my new bareMinerals products. After doing some research I think it is caused from the bismuth oxychloride in my foundation, I plan on returning it to Sephora and getting the matte foundation because it doesn't have bismuth oxycholride. But after wearing my bareMinerals (even with the rash/allergic reaction) my skin feels quite a bit softer. But now I am dealing with dry scaly patches on my face and they seem to feel a lot better once I use my Mary Kay Velocity moisturizer. I am hoping that bareMinerals works out but if not I ordered some samples from Alima Pure, which is bismuth free and they come in 7 gram jars instead of bareMinerals which is only 6 grams, also it is $2 cheaper. I also ordered some samples from Everyday Minerals and full sizes are even cheaper than Alima, at $12.99 it is the most realistic for me to stock up on.  I'll go into the differences once my samples arrive. Hopefully my skin will be back to normal so that I can take some nice photos in the Japanese tea garden with the husband after his reenlistment ceremony.
